NVIDIA yesterday released the GeForce GTX 960, the flagship with a price tag of $199. But the standard version is equipped with 2 GB of memory, which in the case of playing at higher resolutions may not be sufficient. We can say Inno3D is first to examine these negations among players and they have announced that we are working on two custom versions of GeForce GTX 960 with a double dose of memory, both will make debut in the March.
Inno3D GeForce GTX 960 Ultra and OC with 4Gb of VRAM
Company Inno3D has announced that it will release in March GeForce GTX 960 versions 4 GB of GDDr5 memory coupled with 128-bit interface – namely iChill GeForce GTX 960 OC and Inno3D GeForce GTX 960 Ultra. Detailed specification both cards are not yet known, but both have to work with raised frequencies. The second version is distinguished by a sizeable cooling featuring three fans, which will allow for even higher Overclocking.
We can suspect that not only Inno3D but other manufacturers will also release GeForce GTX 960 version with 4 GB of memory. What will be the 4Gb of VRAM affect on gaming? We’ll find out about it after the first test.
