Ed Boon, director of the NetherRealm Studios recently confirmed the release date of its forthcoming super hero action game Injustice 2, a sequel to the Injustice: Gods Among Us. The game was announced during E3 last year.

Injustice 2 Release Date Announced

Lately, there have been rumors regarding the game’s release date set for late March and mid April, as the previous game in the series was also released in April. But the new title is up for release on May 16th, 2017.

The series is famous among among comic fans as it includes a dozen of characters and superheroes from the DC universe, such as Gorilla Grodd, Black Manta, Supergirl, Blue Beetle, Deadshot and many more, including the fan favorites, i.e, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn.

The release date was surfacing over the internet two days ago following a leak, which was lately confirmed by the studio director Ed Boon on his twitter page. The first trailer of Injustice 2 showcased only the Supergirl and Black Manta, but later on, the developers and publisher Warner Bros. confirmed the addition of more heroes.
