Some time ago we reported that HP is working on a 14″ Chromebook which will be equipped with an NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor. Now, HP Chromebook 14 is available for sale and it in very attractive price, because the basic configuration costs less than $300.

HP Chromebook 14 is one of the compact construction, because its weight is only 1.7 kg and the thickness does not exceed 18mm. The Chromebook is equipped with a screen size of 14 inches – available in either HD (1366 x 768 pixels) and Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels).

The device is based on the NVIDIA Tegra K1, which integrates 5 (4 + 1) ARM Cortex A15 cores and for graphics NVIDIA GeForce graphics chip with 192-Cores based on Kepler architecture is doing the job. On board it has also 2 or 4 GB of memory DDR3L-1600 and 16 or 32 GB eMMC drive for data saving (100 GB of disk space on Google Drive). The Chromebook works under the operation of Chrome OS.

HP Chromebook 14 is equipped with a 3-cell battery that supposedly lasts for 8 hours of work. Candy is available in a choice of four colors of the cover – white and blue, Green and Black.

HP Chromebook 14 is available for purchase – basic configuration (HD screen, 2 GB of memory and 16 GB hard disk) costs $299.99, while the richer (Full HD screen, 4GB of memory and disk 32 GB) priced at $439.99. A similar model has also offered by Acer – Chromebook 13.
