Throughout the year we were talking about PlayStation exclusives coming to the PC platform, and how these changes could represent an undeclared strategy from Sony for continuing to exploit its old licenses on the platform. We witnessed the arrival of Journey, Omen of Sorrow, the trilogy of Quantic Dream graphic novels (whose port also received Sony’s approval) and finally Death Stranding, and if the rumors about Sony’s participation in these releases are true, then most probably next year we will receive with the arrival of another exclusive titlle Horizon Zero Dawn.

The information comes from the hand of a Russian YouTuber who claims to have information about an imminent announcement of the PC version of the interesting open-world action game that mixes primitive civilizations with spectacular robotic beasts, with a possible release for February 2020. Similarly, considering that Horizon Zero Dawn – unlike the other games released – has been developed by an internal Sony studio, it is very unlikely that this rumor is true.

Anyway, it should be remembered that the graphic engine of this title, developed by Guerrilla Games has also been used for Death Stranding, which means that the adaptation for the PC platform has already been finished, and it would not take more efforts to accommodate the programming of Horizon Zero Dawn to the PC platform.

In addition, Anton says he knows some developers who work on games for the PlayStation 5, who told him that Sony asked them to consider a PC version when developing their games. If that is true, then future PlayStation 5 games will enjoy limited exclusivity.

As expected, the only games we should not expect on PC are Sony’s exclusive titles, such as Gran Turismo, God of War or Spiderman.
