Horizon Zero Dawn is under development since 2014 by Guerilla Games, the studio behind production famous Killzone games for the PlayStation. The game was revealed last year during Sony’s E3 2015 press conference.

The developers of the game have started updating and revealing more details related to the game’s development. Recently, the studio head Hermen Hulst spoke with the Game Informer where he discussed the change in Horizon Zero Dawn as compared with the Killzone as according to the developers, the game is biggest ever, surpassing Killzone with many aspects.

As per the statement of Hulst, it is a ‘monster of a project‘ being four times bigger and complex as compared with any Killzone game. As an action role-playing game, it is a new genre for the studio as well as a new IP and therefore some new rules and disciplines will have to be established and hired. Furthermore, he also mentioned that it is the most challenging project as of yet on technical grounds. It is a big accomplishment for the studio in getting rich game details on the screen and developing an open world game with a bigger world to explore.

Last week during Tokyo Game Show 2016, a new trailer was revealed and it was announced that the game supports HDR on the new, enhanced PlayStation 4 Pro, while the art director also confirmed that the game won’t exactly run at the 4K, but players won’t notice much difference.

Horizon Zero Dawn is set for release on February 28, 2017 as a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Stay tuned for more updates!
