Guerrilla’s new action, role-playing title, the Horizon Zero Dawn has been out in the market for almost a week and it topped the sales chart of last week in the UK, beating the Nintendo exclusive Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Despite the fact that Nintendo’s newly launched hybrid console received a strong welcome along with the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the winner of last week is Sony’s PS4 exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn. Both the games received a great critical reception and have their unique gameplay, thus resulted in leading the sales chart with the first and second spot.
News of the day is that Horizon Zero Dawn is now the biggest new IP for Sony’s PS4. The slot was previously claimed by Hello Games’ No Man Sky, released back in August last year. According to the report from MCV, Horizon is now the biggest launch of the year till date, and biggest PS4 launch since Uncharted 4.
On the other hand, Zelda: Breath of the Wild managed to secure second spot with 78% sales on Nintendo Switch, while 22% on the Wii U. This is perhaps the third biggest Zelda launch after Wind Waker and Twilight Princess being first and second respectively.
