Hitman has been out for more than a year and the developers have been releasing new content for the game on periodic basis. Lately, IO Interactive teased some new piece of content for the game which will be revealed later this month.

It appears that IO Interactive has big plans for the game as they have asked players to mark their calendar for October 24th, the day when studio will reveal the new content for the Hitman. Here’s what the recent blog update mentions;

“Mark this date on your calendars: October 24th. That’s the date when we will reveal brand new content for the game. We’re going to let the announcement itself do all the talking, but there is one thing we want to clarify before then — this upcoming content will not be ‘Season 2.’ We’re saying that now to keep expectations in check.”

So it is clear that something big is being planned and that’s surely not from Season 2. Back in June, IO Interactive parted ways with Square Enix and IO turned out to be the independent studio having rights of Hitman franchise. They have been adding new missions and contracts but this announcement hints something big.

While a set of new contracts and challenge pack will be released next week on October 13th.  The game is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Stay tuned for more updates!
