Square Enix announced a new addition to the famous action franchise, Hitman at the E3 event this year. The game was scheduled for release in December 2015, but according to the new press release, it’s confirmed that the game has been pushed till March 2016.
It was reported that the game will have more locations and additional content after some time via updates (free of cost). The blog post of IO Interactive writes, “These few extra months will mean we can add more to the launch content of the game, more than we had originally planned, and then follow with a tighter frequency of updates, which ultimately will create a better game for everyone,”
The post ended in apologizing from the Hitman lovers who were eagerly waiting for the game’s release and also posted an image of the level named Paris – The Showstopper, which is around 6 times bigger than the Streets of Hope from Hitman Absolution in terms of area.
Moving a launch date is never an easy decision, we know it’s frustrating to have to wait a bit longer for the game, but we truly believe it will mean we can deliver a better launch and overall experience. We’ll share more details next week about the full release schedule and scope of HITMAN in general so keep a look out for that.
