Back in May this year, Microsoft confirmed the release of Halo 5 Forge for Windows 10 PCs and a few hours ago, blog update by UGC Director of 343 Industries announced the game’s release date for Windows PCs.
Halo 5 Forge Windows 10 Release Date Announced
According to the report by Xbox Wire, Halo 5 Forge will be released on September 8th for Windows 10 and will be available for free download through the Windows Store. The new Halo game mode will allow players to create maps and upload them to the Xbox One server for the console gamers.
This Halo game is not the part of Microsoft’s Play Anywhere feature, but thanks to Microsoft and their friends SkyBox Labs for bringing the whole Forge mode to Windows 10 PCs, with full keyboard and mouse support for greater object placement and manipulation. It was also mentioned that the mode supports high resolutions (up to 4K) display and allows players to host custom matches with up to 16 players.
While on the same day, ninth free content for the Halo 5: Guardians the Anvil’s Legacy will be released on Xbox One which will bring many important updates for the game’s Forge mode and will also include two new maps, new weapons, new weapon attachments, customization options and more.
