Three days ago, we reported the release date for Halo 5 Forge which was announced by Microsoft. Halo 5 Forge was announced for Windows 10 PCs by Microsoft back in May this year and recently, it was confirmed that the game will be available to download for free via Windows Store.

Yesterday, update post at Halo’s website mentioned system requirements which were revealed by 343 Industries. It also mentioned the system specs required to run the game at 4K and 60 frames per second, which appears to be quite powerful rig with Core i7 and 16GB of memory, while system specs for running the game at 1080p and 60 frames per second were also revealed, requiring a Core i5 equipped with 12GB of memory.

  • DirectX 12
  • CPU: Intel Core i5 at 2.3 Ghz or AMD equivalent
  • GPU: GeForce 650 Ti

  • RAM: 8GB
  • HDD: 40GB

Recommended (1080p at 60 frames per second):

  • Operating system: Windows 10 Anniversary Edition, version 1607 or later
  • DirectX 12
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-3570k at 3.4 Ghz or AMD equivalent
  • GPU: GeForce 970
  • VRAM: 4GB
  • RAM: 12GB
  • HDD: 40GB

Ultra (4K at 60 frames per second):

  • Operating system: Windows 10 Anniversary Edition, version 1607 or later
  • DirectX 12
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-4770k at 3.4 Ghz or AMD equivalent
  • GPU: GeForce 980 Ti
  • VRAM: 6GB
  • RAM: 16GB
  • HDD: 40GB

Halo 5 Forge for Windows 10 PCs will be released on September 8th, while on the other hand, a new update for Halo 5: Guardians called Anvil’s Legacy will also be released for Xbox One on the same day which will add a new arena map, new Warzone map, new weapons and weapon attachments.
