Telltale games is currently working on the new episodic game, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy that is confirmed for the release next year. The game was rumored on the internet for a couple days following a report that was published last month.

Two days ago during The Game Awards 2016, Telltale games revealed the next project along with the announcement trailer and some details. According to the studios, the game will be released in five episodes, with the first one coming sometime in 2017 for PC, consoles and mobile devices.

The game will be available at the retails as a special season pass when released. The physical copy will contain the first episode and will ‘grant access’ to the remaining four episodes which will be available for download through the updates after some time. The studio promises to reveal more details regarding the game next year.

According to the CEO of Telltale Games, Kevin Bruner;

“The energizing blend of humor, emotion, teamwork, and full-on sci-fi action-adventure of the Guardians provides an enormously satisfying space to explore through Telltale’s unique style of interactive storytelling,”

Senior VP of Marvel Entertainment also expressed his wishes while working with the Telltale games and indicated some more excited titles in the future, which is a positive sign for Marvel fans. Check out the announcement trailer of Guardians of the Galaxy below;

The studio is yet to provide details regarding the game’s release date in the coming months, but most probably, it can be said that the game will be released along with the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 that is due in May 2017. Stay tuned for more updates!
