Gigabyte announced the launch of its new family of graphics cards Xtreme Gaming, which come after the resounding success of its Gigabyte GTX 950 Xtreme Gaming. In this new family, we will find GeForce GTX 970, GeForce GTX 980, GeForce GTX 980 Ti and GTX TITAN X. All these are based on improved factory overclocks, better cooling and overclock ready PCBs.
Gigabyte Updates GeForce 900 Series Cards With New Xtreme Gaming Lineup
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 Xtreme Gaming (GV-N970XTREME-4GD)
GPU-based on GM204-200-A1 consists of 1664 CUDA Cores, 104 TMUs and 56 ROPs and fed through a VRM 10 + 2 phase power frequency offers standard base / turbo 1190/1342 MHz (vs. 1050/1178 MHz mod. ref) with 4 GB of memory running at 7100 MHz (7012 MHz vs) which together with an 256 bits interface memory gives a bandwidth of 244 GB / s.
The WindForce 3X cooling system with aluminum backplate features an RGB LED lighting system. All the photos you see below belong to this model.
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Xtreme Gaming (GV-N980XTREME-4GD)
GPU-based on GM204-400-A1 consists of 2048 CUDA Cores, 128 TMUs and 64 ROPs to a base / turbo frequency 1241/1342 MHz (1127/1216 MHz vs mod. ref) with 4 GB of memory running 7100 MHz( 7010 MHz vs) with an interface memory 256 bits.
The rest of the extras (lighting, backplate and VRM) remain same.
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Ti Xtreme Gaming (GV-N98TXTREME -6GD)
The GTX 980 Ti XTREME GAMING also offers the WATERFORCE edition for those favor the liquid cooling solution. The exclusive all-in-one, closed-loop water cooling system features the full-coverage cooling module covering not only the GPU, but also the heat-generating VRAM and MOSFET. This design requires no additional fan like other competitions in its class for a much superior acoustic performance.
The robust FEP tubes can effectively prevent the leak and fare a lower coolant evaporation rate. Coupled with the 120mm silent fan and the low-noise pump, the graphics card is able to perform up to 38.8% cooler than the reference cooling in operating temperature for ultra-stable gaming in near silence. viaGigabyte
GPU-based on GM200-310-A1 formed by CUDA Cores 2816, 176 TMUs and 96 ROPS that fed through a VRM 12 + 2 phase power reaches a base / turbo quite striking frequency 1216/1317 MHz(vs 1000 / 1072 MHz.) bound to 6 GB GDDR5 at a speed of 7200 MHz (7010 MHz vs ) along a 384-bit interface.
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Ti Xtreme Gaming is based on a WindForce 3X cooling system and other information is kept same.
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Ti Xtreme Gaming Waterforce ( GV-N98TXTREME W-6GD )
This new Variant will be based on water cooling, but keeps the rest of the specifications, including frequency.
Hidden inside silicon GM200-400-A1 (3072 CUDA Cores, 192 TMUs and 96 ROPs) fed by a VRM 6 + 2 phase power that gives it a restrained speeds1165/1266 MHz (vs 1000 / 1089 MHz) while the 12 GB of GDDR5 memory is kept at a reference frequency of 7.00 GHz. It is with LED lighting besides losing LEDs fans.
Gigabyte GeForce GTX Titan X Xtreme Gaming
The GeForce GTX Titan X Xtreme Gaming is clocked at 1165 MHz base and 1266 MHz boost clock. It comes with 12 GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 7 GHz and running along a 384-bit bus interface. The card has a reference PCB hence has a 6+2 phase PWM design, but the extra cooling to the GPU does mean that it gets to overclock better than the reference variants.
