This year, Sony revealed a new PlayStation exclusive entitled ‘Ghost of Tsushima’ during its E3 press conference along with a beautiful, impressive gameplay trailer. The game is set in the days of ancient Japan’s samurai and is being developed by Sucker Punch.
After the gameplay reveal, some questions were asked by the media outlets in which further information was revealed by the developers. It seems that Sucker Punch is trying its hard to prove its dedication for the Ghost of Tsushima by providing more authentic, grounded experience to the gamers.
It is planned to add Japanese language audio track for the entire game, which is reflects more localization of the game story and the place (location) where it is made. It doesn’t mean that players will have to play the entire game in Japanese, they will have an option of switching to English language if they want to.
Have a look into the gameplay trailer below;
The developers have termed the game as “time machine” as it reflects the true presentation of ancient Japan, its story and location. Moreover, questions were asked about the game’s settings as it consists of duel fights and it is more of a stealth game. However, the developers, the game is designed in a such a manner that all kinds of players will be able to get their hands on.
As this is an open-world, so the players will be “tourists“. Now some of them are more story oriented while some of them are more action-reality oriented, so they have to come up with such strategies that will appeal all kinds of people. This is indeed a challenge and an opportunity for them to succeed.
“The story is about Jin being forced to change and being challenged by these overwhelming numbers of Mongols — I want to feel that. And the game will absolutely give that to you, if that’s what you want. We will wreck you if that’s what you want. ” – Chris Zimmerman, Co-founder of Sucker Punch.
And yes, there will be different number of difficulty settings because adjusting your aim while broad range of players are present will not be easy.
Ghost of Tsushima is a PlayStation 4 exclusive with a release date yet to be announced. Stay tuned for more updates!
