Among the numerous complaints received from the gamers on troubled launch of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition for PC, exclusive to the store for Windows 10, one of which is the lack of support for multi-GPU configurations and lacking of full screen exclusive in the UWP applications (Universal Windows Platform). The same applies to the Windows 10 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider, acquired in the Microsoft store.

Rod Fergusson (head of development studio “The Coallition”), announced via Twitter that they are working on multi-GPU configuration for AMD and NVIDIA. Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on 4k is not quite demanding, so even a GTX 980Ti or R9 Fury X is more than enough to run it at 60FPS.

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition – Support for Multi-GPU will be implemented soon

With these changes, it is more than certain that games like Killer Instinct and Quantum Break will also be introduced with support for SLI and Crossfire.
