Gears of War 4, the recent installment in the famous shooter franchise gets a new big update on the Windows Store sized around 248 GB.

It appears that there is an issue with Microsoft’s Windows Store as the game requires disk space of somewhere around 50 GB while the new update is sized even more than three times the actual game size. The new update was first spotted by NeoGAF user ‘Gowans’ who claimed to have started downloading the update which was initially sized around 101.1 GB.

According to the user, the update sized shifted from 101.1 GB to 248 GB quickly. Upon cancelling the update download and then restarting the update, the download started with the 101.1 GB as the actual size.

It appears to be a problem with the Microsoft’s Windows Store and the gamers are advised to take pre-cautions before downloading this 248 GB update and waste their internet bandwidth.

The story of Gears of War 4 revolves around JD Fenix, son of the legend Marcus Fenix who fights against the enemies who attacked his village.
