Turn 10 studio today confirmed that all future titles of Forza Motorsport will be developed for the Windows platforms, this means that all of them will come to PCs with Windows 10 operating system. This movement began with the already announced Forza Motorsport 6: Apex, which will be free to play on Windows 10 installed PCs through its platform Windows Store.
Our Future Games Will Come To Windows 10, Forza Developers
“Moving forward, all of our games are going to be shipping on Windows 10 (PC) and Xbox”
The game is developed under the API DirectX 12 (hence that is unique to Windows 10), will provide support for 4K resolution, it will incorporate more than 60 vehicles and in theory would not support micro-transactions, which for now is not confirmed. Forza Motorsport 6: Apex will come to PC this spring. The game will not support cross-play functionality between the PC and Xbox one.
Aaron Greenberg, head of Marketing at Microsoft Xbox Games announced that we don’t have this option in mind at the moment, although it could be an option in the future. He also mentioned that developers are currently concentrating on developing a polished game for launch on Windows 10, but we will add this functionality in the future via update if we received enough pressure from fans regarding this matter, the game could receive an update in the future that will allow PC gamers to play wheel to wheel with Xbox One players’ and vice versa, which greatly facilitate both platforms.
The career mode is anchored by a new 12-event “Showcase Tour,” which introduces players to fascinating cars and unique automotive match-ups through a series of beautifully crafted and entertaining videos, narrated by automotive celebrities such as James May and Richard Hammond.
Forza Motorsport 6: Apex features a new objective and scoring system, which challenges the player to grow their skill and compare scores with their friends, and each event is a completely unique experience with unending replay value.
