Microsoft is preparing to launch the Forza Motorsport series for the PC at the end of the year, with a stripped back free-to-play version of last year’s instalment, Forza Motorsport 6: Apex, a title that will only work under the Windows 10 operating system coming this spring. The news comes via a leaked report by The Seattle Times  after a recent Microsoft event in San Francisco, information that should have been kept secret until the date of the confidentiality agreement be fulfilled.

Forza Motorsport Series Coming To PC Later This Year

Microsoft and developer of Forza and Turn 10 Studios had previously shown the Forza Motorsport 5 executed on a PC under the API DirectX 12  at GDC 2014, but this is the first time the series will be available to the public on the PC platform. It is expected that with the arrival of Forza Motorsport 6: Apex  the future of the series is no longer exclusive to Xbox One, but also will be available on the PC in the footsteps of Quantum Break, because with piracy or not, the PC moves much money that cannot stop running, a clear example was the Rise of the Tomb RaiderPC sales almost triples that of Xbox One during the first month.
