With the announcement of exclusive title of the Forza series from Xbox family, we are talking about Forza Motorsport 6: Apex. Now the latest news revealed that the previous rumors were wrong and the game will not support cross-play functionality.

Forza Motorsport 6 Apex will not allow cross-play between PC and Xbox One

Aaron Greenberg, head of Marketing at Microsoft Xbox Games announced that we don’t have this option in mind at the moment, although it could be an option in the future. He also mentioned that developers are currently concentrating on developing a polished game for launch on Windows 10, but we will add this functionality in the future via update if we received enough pressure from fans regarding this matter, the game could receive an update in the future that will allow PC gamers to play wheel to wheel with Xbox One players’ and vice versa, which greatly facilitate both platforms.

Microsoft and developer of Forza and Turn 10 Studios had previously shown the Forza Motorsport 5 executed on a PC under the API DirectX 12  at GDC 2014, but this is the first time the series will be available to the public on the PC platform.
