Final Fantasy XV Director Hajime Tabata again discussed about his desire to develop the game for PC, not in the form of a port but a proper game with full features such as modding.
The director wants to show the PC gamers, Final Fantasy XV running on ‘high-end PCs’ and they will even like it as well. During his recent interview with the Famitsu, director Tabata hinted the possibility of game’s PC release and his desire to use ‘exclusive features’ such as mods. It appears that the studio will go for developing the game for the PC platform and use all the technology to come up with a new, enhanced version of the game.
During his interview, he said;
“I’d like to release the game on PC as a technical attempt,”
“I want to show PC users Final Fantasy 15 running on high-end machines, and we personally would like to see it, too.”
Apparently, the director looks interested in adding different features like customization or making quests and doing different things with the mods. This is the second time when the director of Final Fantasy XV discussed about the PC version of the game.
Back in April last year, he indicated the possibility of the PC version and also didn’t rule out the PC version of the game. He said that the studio will look towards developing a more enhanced version once the game gets released on consoles. It appears that we might get a great looking PC with full customization and mod like features sometime later this year.
While in October, developers at Square Enix announced that the game will take at least a year to be developed for PC.
Final Fantasy XV is now available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Stay tuned for more updates!
