Two days ago, we reported the delay of Square Enix’s upcoming RPG and fifteenth installment to the famous franchise, Final Fantasy XV.
Final Fantasy XV Delay Officially Confirmed by Square Enix
Earlier, it was rumored that the game has been delayed until November 29th, based on the source provided within the management of GameStop who also confirmed that the delay will be officially announced by Square Enix pretty soon, by August 14th. The game was scheduled for release on September 29th.
The game’s director Hajime Tabata in his latest press release confirmed the delay, apologized to the fans for another delay as well as mentioned the reason behind the delay. According to the director, the studio needs a bit more time to polish the game so that the fans can enjoy the long awaited Final Fantasy XV without certain issues and bugs.
“Regrettably, we need a little bit more time to deliver on this vision and are confident that this new release date will help us achieve this,”
“As the director and lead of this project, I wish to personally apologize for the additional wait. As a team, we want FINAL FANTASY XV to achieve a level of perfection that our fans deserve. We kindly ask for your understanding.” said Hajima Tabata
Final Fantasy XV releases on November 29 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. During SIGGRAPH 2016, a PC version of the game was hinted during Square Enix’s presentation. Stay tuned for more updates!
