Moments ago, Bethesda updated its blog and detailed the new update 1.9 for Fallout 4 that is set to bring support for the PS4 Pro and a PC patch as well, which will introduce a high resolution texture pack.

According to Bethesda, the update 1.9 will bring native 1440p resolution on the new console, enhanced draw distance for trees, grass, objects and NPCs and enhanced Godray effects. The studio didn’t mention any specific detail regarding the release date of the update, but it is assumed to be on Tuesday, February 7th.

Whereas another free update for the PC will also be released sometime next week, offering High-Resolution Texture Pack for the gamers and will require up to 58 GB of additional disk space. (that’s a-lot amount of disk space). The studio also updated recommended system requirements for the high-res texture pack and these are mentioned below;

Recommended PC Specs
Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
Intel Core i7-5820K or better
GTX 1080 8GB/AMD Radeon RX 490 8GB
8GB+ Ram

According to Bethesda, the free texture update should be considered as a ‘love letter‘ to the PC gaming audience for supporting the studio a multiple times over decades.
