Last week, Bethesda announced a new update for the PC version of Fallout 4, adding High Resolution Texture pack. A beta version of the update was also released so that the fans can try out the HD textures and as promised, the update is now fully released.
The HD texture pack is now available for download for the Steam users for free, and the players must free some space on their hard disks as the update is sized around 58GB (that’s massive)
The studio also provided the system specs for the HD texture pack so that the players can be sure about the capability of their system handling such a big update. Check out the system specifications below;
OS: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
Processor: Intel Core i7-5820K or better
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: GTX 1080 8GB
Storage: 58 GB available space
Furthermore, Bethesda’s director Todd Howard also confirmed that the Fallout 4 VR is currently in development and want create a great experience for their VR players in the market, irrespective of its small market. They would love to go with the opportunity to deliver something ‘unique’.
The promise of VR is being in a big virtual world. The core experience, meaning you put on the headset and you’re standing in the world of Fallout and can go where you want, just that little bit is every bit as cool as you hope it would be. Once we did that, we were like, ‘OK, we gotta see where this goes’
Fallout 4 will be getting the update 1.9 sometime later this year, adding PS4 Pro support with higher resolutions, better frames, lighting and much more.
The game is currently available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Stay tuned for more updates!
