The next highly-anticipated update coming to Path of Exile will change up the mechanics of how you play League.
Grinding Gear Games has revealed more information regarding the upcoming Path of Exile 3.11 Harvest League. As the Delirium League challenge draws to a close, we now know a bit more about what to expect from the next update, Harvest. This new addition will challenge players in a number of ways, including new tasks, different ways of using PoE currency and more.
Harvest will see players having to use a garden to plant seeds in, though it isn’t just your ordinary plants that you will be putting into the ground. You will be planting monsters, after which you will need to defeat to get the items that your desire. So, you can expect to have aa new set of skills and mechanics when it does drop.
Starting with one of the most important aspects of the update, Lifeforce will be the crafting resource that will allow players to get their hands on a wealth of different items. It won’t just but using PoE Orbs to get some unique items, or even having to use the practice of PoE trade. Now you will be able to use Lifeforce to get items of great value.
Whilst we may not know too much as to what can be dropped exactly, we do know that they will be available in any part of the game in which you can craft, so there will be certain items that will be accessible earlier than others, and you will have the chance to earn XP along the way.
You are going to need to gather seeds, which can be found in seed caches. If you come across a monster that has been grown by this method, then you can also defeat them for seeds.
Speaking of seed caches, you can find them in many different areas, and they will be separated into different tiers of seed. For example, you can get tier-1 seeds from a cache, then grow a monster. Once you have done so, you can then kill said monster and gain a higher tier of seed for you to plant. This is a vital point when it comes to PoE, as it does bring about a change in focus and gameplay where the typical League mechanic is concerned.
There is more diversity coming to Path of Exile’s gameplay also in the form of new brands. Whilst players can expect previous brands to be subjected to a rework, they will also see three brand new brands when the update arrives. The three brands are Arcanist, Penance and Wintertide, all of which will bring about new abilities. For example, Arcanist is able to cast linked spells as it activates, whilst Penance focuses on spreading gradual damage to surrounding enemies. Meanwhile, Wintertide increases cold damage over a period of time to its target.
When Does Harvest Release?
There isn’t much longer to wait for PoE Harvest, with the release date set for June 19th, 2020. The update will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, so no one will be missing out on the new addition when it arrives this week.
Fans can expect a fair amount of new content with this update too. There will be new PoE uniques, ways of making PoE currency, and more. There will be new items to acquire too, plus new skills for you to learn. If you have been looking for new equipment, then that will also be accompanying the Harvest, as will the new Brands that we discussed earlier. Looking for new weapons? Then you won’t have to look much further with the release of Harvest.
Its an exciting time to be a Path of Exile fan for sure. With new content being added to the base game, we can also expect to see a mobile release in the future, as well as a sequel of sorts coming to the ever-growing action role-playing franchise.
