During the company’s latest financial results, Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson revealed the arrival of a new installment of its popular shooter Battlefield earlier this year. As revealed, one of the main advantages is that the game will make the most of new generation platforms and will offer immersive battles. He also added that the next Battlefield will feature maps of “unprecedented scale” with more players than ever. This probably means that the game will break the 64 mark, the current limit of many of the previous series.

“We are looking forward to sharing much more about our plans in the coming months, including our next Battlefield experience, which will mark a return to military warfare.

The game takes full advantage of the power of next-generation platforms to bring massive and immersive battles to life with more players than ever before. With maps of an unprecedented scale, the next edition of Battlefield takes all the destruction, player agency, and vehicle and weapon combat that the franchise is known for and elevates them to another level.

He added that, the team is focused and the game is ahead of their internal milestones. The company will reveal the game during spring.
