Square Enix and Eidos Montreal announced the availability of Rift System, the first story DLC for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Rift System is a self-contained story that takes us to Prague, a new location, so you don’t have to worry about damaging the main mission if you have not done.
“Francis Pritchard, Adam Jensen’s friend and former colleague at Sarif Industries, returns in System Rift, and new colorful banter between these two characters adds an interesting dynamic to their relationship,” lead writer Avi Winkler told the PlayStation Blog. “Fans of Breach, our new game mode included in Mankind Divided, will get to meet ShadowChild in person and experience the origin story of the ‘Breach’ itself.”
This DLC story also involves the infiltration of a unique structure of Prague only seen from a distance during the course of the main game.
Michel Lanoie, Assistant Art Director:
In Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, the Palisade Blade is one of the most important icons and symbols of Prague and the staff of Eidos Montreal felt there was great potential to explode. In Rift System, we exploit the theme of Corporate Feudalism, as a visual metaphor. It is used to bring contrast and emotional tension force in a palette of cool colors and mood of the environment.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’s System Rift is available now for $10 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. It comes as part of the $30 season pass. System Rift comes alongside a new patch that fixes multiple issues and adds DirectX 12 support.
