Following the recent cracks of Watch Dogs 2, Resident Evil 7 and Battlefield 1, the Austrian company Denuvo has been working on a new version of its Anti-Tamper technology. This response from the company was expected, since they were examining the cracks in the mentioned titles (published by the group of crackers Conspiracy).

Although Resident Evil 7 made use of the latest and most up-to-date version of DRM Anti-Tamper, it was cracked in a record time of 5 days, which greatly affected Denuvo and its reputation.
This new version of Anti-Tamper has been implemented in Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 and it will probably also be featured in other major Ubisoft and EA titles such as For Honor, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands and Mass Effect: Andromed. It is confirmed that Sniper Elite 4 will also use Denuvo as it is listed on the Steam store page. It will be interesting to see if this new version of Denuvo will be easily cracked by the groups of the or not.
However, the group of crackers CPY are the heroes turn to the pirates, since they have cracked many titles with Anti-Tamper, including Batman: Arkham Knight, (with all its DLCs), Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Far Cry Primal, Watch Dogs 2, God Eater 2 Rage Burst, Resident Evil 7 (in just five days) and Battlefield 1.
Previously in response to the Resident Evil 7 crack, Denuvo marketing director Thomas Goebl talked about the question during an interview with Eurogamer:
Please note that we always say that our Anti-Tamper solution is hard to crack, not uncrackable. So far only one piracy group has been able to bypass it.
As always, we’ll keep working to improve our solution to create security updates for upcoming Anti-Tamper versions. We will do the same with the learning from this bypass. It’s correct that Capcom’s Resident Evil 7 was cracked some days after release. Given the fact that every unprotected title is cracked on the day of release – as well as every update of games – our solution made a difference for this title.
The news comes from a well-known Russian forum warez, according to them the changes have already been implemented in Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3.
