Hideo Kojima, one of the most respected game developers known for the Metal Gear Solid franchise had a fiasco with the Konami earlier this year, who then decided to join Sony’s camp and took the stage during Sony’s E3 2016 presentation while announcing his new open-world title, Death Stranding.

Death Stranding is a PS4 exclusive game, featuring TV actor Norman Reedus uncovered and crying, holding a newly born baby closely, who later disappears while leaving the hands of the main character with a dark, ink-like substance.

Since then, a little is known about the game until yesterday during The Game Awards 2016 when Hideo Kojima surprised the fans with a new, 4K trailer of Death Stranding featuring film actor Mads Mikkelsen. The Danish actor is known for Clash of the Titans, Doctor Strange and the TV series Hannibal.

The new trailer starts like the first one and features Guillermo del Toro, who carries the baby covered with something and tries to locate a safe place in a destroyed world. Check out the new trailer below;

It’s unclear whether Mads Mikkelsen will be playing the character of a villain or will co-star with the main character and protagonist, Norman Reedus. The developers are yet to confirm whether the game will run at native 4K output or will be upscaled to the resolution for PS4 Pro.
