Dark Souls 3 has been released for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4 and today the folks at Digital Foundry brings a graphical comparison and performance test of title “From Software” between versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The PlayStation 4 runs the Dark Souls 3 at a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (1080p) compared to 1600 x 900 pixels (900p) on Xbox One. In addition to providing higher resolution, we have a palpable graphic enhancement in the shadows, where the Xbox One shows a sawtooth obvious. Beyond the Shadows, we must recognize that the quality of both titles is virtually identical, so the 900p does not affect the final quality.

Dark Souls 3 PlayStation 4 Vs Xbox One Graphics Comparison

Now here is the most interesting part. While the PlayStation 4 runs a higher resolution and higher quality shadows, its performance is always higher than the Xbox one console in Dark Soul 3. In most of the cases Xbox One performance fall near to 25 – 26 FPS, while on PlayStation 4 Dark Soul 3 is running at 30 FPS.
