During the recent Extra Life 2016 Charity stream, Microsoft revealed that the team and publishers behind Crackdown 3 are targeting holiday 2017 as the release time frame for the game, the same time when Microsoft’s most powerful console, the Xbox Scorpio will be released.

The stream was live on Twitch where the team answered questions regarding the game. According to the developers of Reagent Games, the Crackdown 3 is planned for release in holiday 2017. Furthermore, he confirmed that the game will render at native 4K on the Xbox Scorpio.

Crackdown 3 is a multiplayer game set in the future. According to the developers, their top priority is to deliver the experience players never have thought of before. It was also revealed that the performance would have been compromised if they decided to release the game back in summer this year. Check out the first look of Crackdown 3 below;

Previously, the game was scheduled for release in late 2016 but later on, it was announced that the game is delayed and will be released sometime in 2017. The Crackdown 3 will be released on Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs and is a part of Microsoft’s Xbox Play Anywhere feature, that allows gamers with the options of cross-buy and cross-play between the console and Windows 10 systems.
