Child of light developed by Ubisoft Montreal got very good reviews from gamers. And the game that ultimately get a good review need a new good sequel too! Vice president of Creative at Ubisoft, Lionel Raynaud said he already have different projects, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get Child of Light sequel.
Child of Light Sequel might happen in future
He also said that the devloper team behind Child of light are now a core development team at ubisoft. Lionel Raynuad also said: ”We will encourage other initiatives like Child of Light and there’s a chance that we will have many more games like that in the future. I already have many different projects that are in the pitch stage – I even had one in my office this morning, which was super exciting.”
Child of Light was first revealed at GDC Europe 2013 by Patrick Plourde. Child of light is also said to be inspired by Studio Ghibi in its art style and presentation similar to Limbo. Most of the core creative team worked on Far cry 3, the game also shares a similar upgrade skill.
For those who have still not played the game, here’s a quick synopsis about the story of the game. The game center around Aurora who died from a physical ailment, but due to a protection spell cast by her mother, she wakes up at a mystical land called Lemuira. The sun, moon and the stars are stolen by the dark queen Umbera and she has to bring it back to the Mystical land. Along the way she faces many enemies with many allies, accompanied by her allies, she can’t stop now and defeat the dark queen Umbera and bring back the Sun, moon and the stars back.
Child of Light released on April 30 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Playstation 4, Playstation Vita, Wii U, Xbox one and Xbox 360.
