EVGA announced its first VR-Ready graphics card, which becomes a seal that certifies the graphics card is prepared to make use of virtual reality glasses. We are therefore faced with the EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti VR Edition. The new graphics card integrates HDMI 2.0 port on the opposite end of the PCB to be connected to a front panel which occupies a 5.25 / 3.25 ” Bay providing two USB 3.0 / 3.1 ports along with an HDMI port, which allows easy connection of the virtual reality glasses.

The solution is to serve the comfort, as a VR headset can be connected directly in front of the case and clearly offers more freedom, especially if applications are to be used. The cable length of the previous VR solutions is limited, especially if they are connected at the rear of PC under the table.

Aside from the front panel setup, EVGA’s VR Edition GeForce GTX 980 Ti additionally support a mini-HDMI port on the back side of the card for similarity with different virtual reality equipment. The card support two various types of cooling arrangements, going from ACX 2.0+ and a customized blower-type cooler, and EVGA has clocked the VR Ready GTX 980 Ti at reference clock speeds.
