Last year, Activision released remastered version of the all time classic entry in the famous franchise, Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered, combined with the additional content which were released a month later.

However, Raven, the studio behind working on Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered is now working for a variety map pack which introduces four fan favorite multiplayer maps, namely, Broadcast, Chinatown, Creek and Killhouse maps. The studio has released the trailer of the variety map pack, which showcases these classic multiplayer maps.

The variety map pack is now available for the PlayStation 4 version of the game, while the release date for the PC and Xbox One is yet to be announced.

The Variety Map Pack returns to Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® Remastered with four more unforgettable multiplayer maps. Battle through the neon alleyways of Chinatown, dominate your opponents in the abandoned news station of Broadcast, snipe across the grassy ravine of Creek, and go all-out close-quarters in the chaotic training grounds of Killhouse.

Meanwhile, publisher Activision has confirmed that they are working on a new Call of Duty game which will ‘take the series back to its roots‘ and will be the best entry to the famous franchise. The new game will be developed by Sledgehammer Games who is eager to reveal the game, and according to them, the fans are “gonna go nuts“.

It is reported that the game might feature the settings of the Vietnam war and developers are planning to drop futuristic settings which resulted in the downfall of the famous shooter in terms of sales and fan base.
