It took more than three years of Sledgehammer Games for the development of Activision’s most boasted, Next-Gen exclusive first-person shooter video game known as Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is officially available for purchase in few regions, and in others, it has already been leaked out by retailers for the latest consoles and cracked by computer jockeys for PC. This means that there are a number of PC players who are enjoying this game. We have also seen several screenshots comparison on the PC version VS PS4 version of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, but the mere pleasure is always coming when two consoles are in the battleground.
The developers are pretty sure about the bug free development of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and according to them, the game is completely optimized for current Generation consoles and PC. Well, it took more than three years and till now 2 patches are released in the wild. The game is now accessible to every platform so it is the right time to put it to test and see how it justifies all the claims that were made in recent months and compare it with XBox One version in front of PS4, which focuses on comparative performance title on both consoles.
Before we move further, there is one thing need to be understood that, Minimum Xbox One resolution is 1360×1080, and dynamically scales from there to full 1080p. That’s over 50% increase from last year, according to Condrey and on PlayStation 4 game is running at native resolution of 1080p.
If you see the screenshots from Xbox One version, their geometric edges are affected (blurred edges) as well as creating a cloudy appearance to the sub-pixel sampling through the trees and grass. Also the game is running on Playstation 4 between 50-60 FPS, while the Xbox One provides about 60 FPS which is more consistent. Admittedly Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is a game which focused on graphics quality, so the version of Xbox One presents a better option.
