Well, now this is something sad. I am not sad that much because Project Titan got cancelled, but I am sad because after like 7 years of development it got cancelled. co-founder and CEO of Blizzard Mike Morhaime said they just could not find the fun. Mike Morhaime said ”We didn’t find the fun. We didn’t find the passion. We talked about how we put it through a reevaluation period, and actually, what we reevaluated is whether that’s the game we really wanted to be making. The answer is no.”

Project Titan was a code name for the game, it was first delayed to 2016 now ultimately cancelled. We first knew about it when users on the Blizzard forums said that Blizzard is working on a next-Gen MMO and it is top secret which in fact was true when Mike Morhaime confirmed it in 2008.A leak was released on November 2010 which shows the code name ”Titan”. It was also Blizzard’s first step towards the Sci-fi genre and not an expansion of world of warcraft.

Mike Morhaime said that the most MMO developers were working on this project and they are using their lessons learned while
Creating World of warcraft. He also said that world of warcraft and titan would be able to co-exist. Back in 2008 he said that the game would be something that it can’t be compete. Blizzard vice president of game design Rob Pardo said that on 2008 September that the small team has grown very large and is in the middle of the development.

In May 28, 2013 70 percent of the team has been working on other Blizzard projects and the release date was delayed to 2016.Blizzard spokesperson Shon Damron said that the remaining team will be working on to accommodate new technology into the game and the development project has been rebooted. In September 23, 2014 Mike Morhaime revealed to polygons that the game is ultimately cancelled.
