First ASRock, then MSI and now the Chinese manufacturer Biostar  announced its technology HyperOC. A new firmware for your mortarboards equipped with an Intel Z170 chipset that allows Overclocking of any Intel Pentium, Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 “no K” CPU under the Skylake architecture through to change the BCLK from the CPU without letting you to pay the additional cost of a CPU with “K” tagline indicating it is unlocked for Overclocking.

According to the company, this new BIOS got an Intel Core i3-6100T @ 3.20 GHz reached a hefty 4.32 GHz, which translates into a 35 percent increment in frequency, the Pentium G4400 increased its speed by 36%, the Intel Core i5-6400T in 60%, and Intel Core i7-6700 at 20%, and the best part is “increment in performance at 0 cost”.

It is to be hoped that other manufacturers will follow the trend.
