A few members of the Battlefield community, in addition to various YouTubers and media, will have the opportunity to test a Battlefield 2042 technical alpha on the PC platform, and Electronic Arts has shared with future testers what the minimum and recommended requirements will be to play it. The alpha will be available from August 12 to 16 and of course has NDA.

Battlefield 2042 will feature support for Nvidia’s ray tracing, DLSS, and Reflex, although EA and DICE are also among the developers supporting AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution.

  • Memory : 8GB RAM

In the system requirements, you can see that recommended VRAM is 8Gb, on the other hand, neither the desktop RTX 2060 (not Super) nor the RX 5600 XT is 8GB, the recommended 8GB of VRAM is probably somewhat general, or beyond what is recommended for playing with the Ultra preset.
