Lately, we reported that the new Batman: The Telltale Series was suffering badly on the PC due to many performance related issues only after its first day of the release. Many gamers gave negative reviews as they witnessed bad optimization, poor frame rates even on their high-end systems or specifications far better than the required one.
However, seems that the things will be getting better soon as the developing studio was aware of the reported issues and yesterday, the first patch for the PC version of the game is out. The studio also published patch notes as well as they issued a statement regarding the matter.
According to Telltale Games, the main problem occurred as a result of many people trying to run the game on their integrated graphics cards or drivers which were out of date. The studio also thanked those players who helped other gamers in solving the problems before the patch was out.
The new patch will now set the game to run on dedicated graphics card by default, and also, a new option for the textures on graphics menu has also been added.
- Automatically defaults the game to run on dedicated graphics card
- Adds graphics settings to enable selection of Higher Performance Textures or Higher Quality Textures (please select Higher Performance if performance is an issue)
Furthermore, the update blog also added that the players must keep their graphics drivers up to date and the team will be working to address the remaining issues. The game is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Mac, iOS and Android. Stay tuned for more updates!
