With the arrival of the new motherboards equipped with the Intel 300 chipsetAsus has decided to restructure the whole family. Until this generation, the TUF (The Ultimate Force) series had been characterized by a family of very high-end motherboards that offers high durability with high quality of the components and large doses of Overclocking, but after the arrival of the Coffee Lake CPUs, Asus TUF series motherboard will not available in the company’s entry level range. New TUF series motherboards will continue to offer great durability, but will lose essential features like Overclocking, as they will be limited by reducing the power phases of the VRM.

Asus Prime motherboards are now in mid-range, which will curiously be worse in terms of durability, but you can expect lots of features in terms of connectivity, while the well-known Republic of Gamers (ROG) brand will make up the range of high-med motherboards under ROG Strix family and high-end ROG family with highest connectivity, very powerful VRM for Overclocking, dedicated audio chips, 802.11ac WiFi + Bluetooth 4.x connectivity, and all paraphernalia like lighting RGB, integrated buttons in the PCB, RGB connectors, etc.
