The folks at CoolEnjoy today comes with the exposure of ASUS new flagship, ASUS is preparing for their new Graphic Card ROG MATRIX R9 290X Platinum. The new ROG R9 290X will feature the AMD Hawaii XT core with powerful PCB for take Overclocking to cross the new limits.
ASUS ROG MATRIX R9 290X Platinum Graphics Card
The all new ASUS ROG Matrix R9 290x Platinum will equip with the Hawaii XT core with 2816 Stream processors, 64 Render, 176 TMUs and 512-bit interface. It’s seems like ASUS is giving the direct answer to the MSI R9 290X lightning and Sapphire’s R9 290X Vapor X. For this, solid answer the Core base Clocked will be more than 1000MHz, and the card will equip with good Overclocking capabilities. Well, both MSI and Sapphire have their own flavor, MSI mostly focuses on Overclocking, Sapphire on VRAM, and ASUS is always focusing on PCB and Design.
The PCB of ROG MATRIX R9 290X is bigger than the reference model, because the card is a custom design. The VRMs are cooled by a large black colored heatshrink which offers cooling support, the pipes are colored black.
The ROG MATRIX R9 290X Platinum features 12 Phases for core and 4 Phases for memory with their latest DIGI+ II design featuring the best quality components, ICs and capacitors to deliver unprecedented performance to Overclockers.
In terms of Cooling the ASUS has gone with all black large Heatsink featuring aluminum fins cooled by two 92mm fans. The Design is quite similar to ASUS ROG Poseidon which featured the Gtx 780 core. The backside of Card is covered with Black heatsink, ASUS ROG logo display on it.
