Team Asus Rog is preparing to launch a new video card Asus ROG Matrix Platinum GTX 980, which is designed for extreme Overclocking sessions.

Data is based on the powerful PCB on which Maxwell GM204 GPU has been fussed on it with VRAM of 4 GB GDDR5 memory and 256-bit interface. Still a 14-phase power control with DIGI + VRM and Super Alloy Power. The standard clock is 1342 MHz don’t have words on turbo boost for now and 7010 MHz for the memory, but of course there is nothing to prevent this card from the future increases as this card is for extreme Overclocking. In order to Power this beast you have to give it power with two 8-pin.

Asus ROG Matrix GTX 980, features DirectCU II with a CoolTech Fan

Of course, in this card you could not miss the extreme Overclocking features, the Laminate derived voltage measurement points are there to restore the default parameters of the your selected frequencies in Overclocking sessions (Safe Mode). Also, this may be noteworthy that card is also equipped with Memory  Defroster technology this technology is limited to only Rog Matrix series cards, as the name suggests, when going sub-zero the memory defroster keeps the memory ICs just above freezing, preventing cold bugs from hindering Overclocking.

Additionally, you don’t have to worried about the high temperature as GM204 chip runs cooler and this card is also featuring powerful DirectCU II cooling, which consists of several massive radiator heat pipes (in Black Metallic color), a smaller heat sink on the power section and the two fans (including one hybrid Cooltech). On back plate there is a logo of the Republic of Gamers.
