After Inno3D, EVGA and Gigabyte now Asus is another manufacturer to introduced new GeForce GTX 960 graphics cards with a double dose of video memory. Let’s see what it offers in addition to the new scene.

Asus Geforce GTX 960 4Gb Strix

asus-geforce-gtx-960-strix-4gb

This refers to the model of the Geforce GTX 960 4Gb Strix– traditionally it has been equipped with a Maxwell GM206 Graphics core, and featuring 4GB (not, as in the standard version 2 GB) of memory GDDR5 128-bit interface. Core clock has been raised to 1291 MHz in standard mode and 1317 MHz Boost 2.0 mode, while the memory clock is already the standard 7010 MHz.

The manufacturer also puts on a well-known to us DirectCU II cooling, which was used in the previous cards. This design uses an aluminum heatsink, four heat pipes and two fans, and on the reverse side of a PCB laminate backplate. The example of other models in the series Strix, to a certain temperature, it works with disabled fans, so it does not generate unnecessary noise.

There was given a standard set of connectors – for display output it is equipped with DVI-D, HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2, and right next door there were one SLI connector. Additional power supplies through 6-pin connector.
