Today foregin media OverClex leaked some photos of a new Motherboard from ASUS side to entertain the Overclockers who want to push their Intel Haswell-E processors to the limit, we are talking about Asus Gandau Bridge.
ASUS Gandau Bridge: A white PCB Asus X99 for Extreme Overclocking?
About the new design for now we don’t have much to share, even this name is coming into the wild for the very first time from Asus, but one is for sure that Gandau Bridge may be just the code name, and the final product will gain a different name. Also noteworthy is the white color laminate – on the one hand, it could only be used for testing the engineering sample, but it could not be the first motherboard with unique physical properties (previously we have seen Sabertooth Z97 Mark S).
If you see the mysterious CPU socket, it seems like it would be Intel Haswell-E socket LGA 2011-3. There will also be an efficient power supply section and provide the required power to the two 8-pin EPS slot. Right next it has also four slots for DDR4 memory.
For card four PCI-Express 3.0 x16 expansion slots are available that run in x16 mode / x8 / x16 / x8 – it will be possible that you will make a combination of four graphics cards Nvidia mode 4-way SLI or 4-way AMD CrossFireX. You can also see the SATA ports on the motherboard PCB.
Also pay attention to two elements – one of them is an extensive section of the lower Overclocking memory banks (in the picture above it is at the top). The second is a very poor rear I / O panel. The scenario is giving us a clue that it could be dedicated to the true enthusiasts of extreme Overclocking.
