The announcement confirms that it will take the anime format (like Castlevania) and that it will be an original story, although it does not confirm whether it will be released through the same streaming platform. In addition Shankar says he knows the series since arriving in Los Angeles to begin his career as a director.

“I am happy to let you know that I have already chosen my next project! I played the first edition of Assassin’s Creed the year I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my dream. At that time I knew absolutely no one in the industry, and I could never have imagined that one day Ubisoft would ask me to take the world of Assassin’s Creed to create an original story in it in the form of anime series. If someone tells you not to follow your passion in life, they are wrong. “
