Many years ago, Ubisoft decided to work on the sequel of Prince of Persia. Prince of Persia was among one of the famous game from the studio, which was supposed to get a sequel, instead the studio started working on the new Assassin’s Creed game.

Assassin’s Creed was originally a sequel of Prince of Persia

The sequel was under development, but the creative designer Patrice Désilets decided to halt the development of the sequel with the logic that “A prince is someone who’s waiting to become king” and not an action figure. The title of the sequel was Prince of Persia: HD, which was later named as Prince of Persia: Assassins. There is a footage of the game’s concept which was revealed by the Twitter user ‘Superannuation’.
