The patch is so big because Ubisoft needed to replace entire sections of the game in an effort to improve the overall frame rate.
Previously, Ubisoft has promised to deliver the best patch after three releases, patch 4 will improve the overall performance of the game, but on the day of launch, we heard words from Ubisoft that they are still trying to fight with bugs and want to give the best outcome which will improve the overall game frame rate of Assassin’s Creed: Unity that’s why they delay it as things were not at the mark. Now, patch 4 has been released but its volume is a little big, it is about 6.7GB, basically the equivalent of one fifth of the capacity of the entire game.

According to Ubisoft the reason for the update package capacity of up to 6.7GB, mainly because they replaced parts of the Paris city map which had issues, if only to say the new content, the 6.7GB not so big. The main contents of this update package include the game stability and performance upgrade on the number of frames, known game crashes and image loss issues have been the greatest degree of correction, places the new game content and navigation aspects of lock picking chests.
For now, Assassin’s Creed: Unity Fourth update package has landed on PS4 and Xbox One platform. For PC the size will be different, generally between 6.5GB to 6.7GB. But Patch 4 will continue to bounce a few days, but Ubisoft said they would release this week, PC gamers do not have to worry too much.
