This is for the first time in the history of Assassin’s Creeds’ series that a transgender character will be introduced in the new addition to the series, the Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. The transgender is named as Ned Wynert.

According to the reports, the Ned Wynert will be the supporting character as well as a quest giver for the player. Earlier, it was announced by the Ubisoft that there will be female character included in the game named as Evie Frye. However, their link to the story and the exact role could not be established yet.

In the recent interview with Eurogamer, creative director of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Marc-Alexis Côté said that;

“It felt like when we first wrote that for AC1 it was something that was very inclusive. But I’ve had the chance to work with more than 12 different writers on Syndicate. At one point, one approached me and said that we were not embracing diversity fully enough,”

“Inclusiveness is something that’s super important for us as a team. We’ve made a good push towards diversity and how we approach different subjects in the game.”

The Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is scheduled for release on October 23rd, 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
