We remind you that, the Chief Executive Officer Yves Guillemot hinted at the Ubisoft’s Investor Day, that their famous franchise, Assassin’s Creed might not get new installments on yearly basis once the next game comes.

The next installment in the series is definitely not coming this year, which was confirmed previously by Ubisoft. After seven years of annual installments, the cycle seems to be broken as of now. The CEO was asked about the annual release of the installment in the series to which he replied,

“The goal is not automatically to come back on annual cycle but to come on a regular basis. We saw it was time to give it lots of time so [developers] could really work on the property and all the mechanics to make sure we could take [the series] to another level.

“What we are seeing today is promising. We will be able to come on a regular basis [but] we can’t say every year.” said CEO Guillemot.
