Android 6.0 Marshmallow is increasingly popular, although the rate of renovation is much slower than expected. Google has published its usual statistics about the popularity of each version of Google Android. Android 6.0 Marshmallow at the moment finally exceeded 10% market share.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow exceeded 10% market share

Due to the fact that it was made available about 7 months ago, the market share is still not much. Well, on the other side of note we should also realize the rate at which manufacturer of smartphones are rolling new update to their devices.

The leader remains Lollipop with market shares of 35.4%. At the second we have KitKat with the ratio of 31.6% and Jelly Bean with a 18.9% market share in third place. Ice Cream Sandwich saw its share slip from two per cent to 1.9 per cent, and Gingerbread from 2.2 per cent to two per cent. Froyo, somehow, continues to cling onto 0.1 per cent of active Android devices.

Google still wants to motivate manufacturers to act more quickly on this issue of rolling new update to smartphones.
