Unexpectedly, yesterday NVIDIA announced its Quadro P5000 and Quadro P6000 professional graphics cards for rendering and film editing etc. Today AMD also announced the launch of professional Solid state graphics card, namely AMD Radeon Pro SSG. The new high-end graphics cards are for rendering 8K videos, VR content creation, exploration of gas and oil, computer engineering, or for those users who are working in the world of medicine or science.
AMD Radeon Pro GSS: Professional Polaris 10 Graphics Card with 2TB of flash memory
During World show, the Radeon Pro SSG was able to handle 8K video at 96FPS compared to the previous high-end FirePro graphics card that was only capable of 8K at 17FPS – a huge 5.6x increase in performance with great quality, productivity and efficiency during the editing process.
With respect to the memory of the Radeon Pro SSG, we don’t have concrete information, but it will not use the typical memory that requires a GPU. We have a buffer in the form of flash memory (SSD incorporates an M.2) that allow us to have 1 to 2 TB of dedicated GPU memory. Obviously, it will be the first professional graphics card to make use of Polaris architecture which is why it is fully compatible with the low – level DirectX 12 and Vulkan API. It goes on sale in 2017 at a suggested price of $9,999.

On the other hand, AMD announced the AMD Radeon Pro WX 7100, based on a Polaris 10 silicon with 2048 Stream Processors, 128 TMUs and 32 ROPs that delivers single floating point performance of 5 TFLOPS with a cost of $ 1,000, it is ideal for designers, creators of entertainment content or professional development related to virtual reality.

AMD Radeon Pro WX 5100
The AMD Radeon Pro WX 5100 uses a Polaris 10 silicon. The most interesting thing about this new professional graphics card is its size of a Radeon R9 Nano, but occupies only one PCI expansion slot offers 1792 stream processors with 8 GB of memory @ 7.00 GHz providing a bandwidth of 224 GB / s with an interface of 256 bits with a lower TDP to 75W. It is designed for graphic designers or independent game developers. Its performance is 4 TFLOPS.

AMD Radeon Pro WX 4100
Finally the AMD Radeon Pro WX 4100, low profile and based Polaris 11 with 1024 Stream Processors with 4GB of GDDR5 @ 7.0 GHz memory with a memory interface of 128 bits leading to a bandwidth of 112 GB / s with a power of 2.00 TFLOPs . It is intended for professional CAD applications and workstations in SFF format. Its price is less than $ 500 being the best you will be able to move four monitors 5K , as well as offering the Quadro P5000 but costing a lot less money. These three models will go later this year.
