We have already the alleged specifications of AMD Radeon Fury X and AMD Radeon Fury, the world’s first graphics cards equipped with High Bandwidth Memory, leaving behind an outdated GDDR5 memory that hampers the performance of GPUs in trend must increase the resolution of monitors.
AMD Radeon Fury X: Allegedly 54% faster than the Radeon R9 290X
The high-end Graphics card AMD Radeon Fury X, based on silicon Fiji XT comprised of 4096 Stream Processors (as of the 64 GCN Compute Units), 128 Render Output Units (ROP’s) and 256 Texture Mapping Units (TMU’s) at a frequency of 1050 MHz accompanied by HBM 4 GB of memory @ 1000 MHz which together with its memory interface 4096 bits gives a bandwidth of 512 GB / s with floating point performance of 8.6 TFLOPS and a TDP of 300W.
This graphics card will be available in both water cooled (radiator 120 mm) and air (triple cooling fan system). On the paper, the Radeon Fury X is 54 percent faster than the R9 290x with extra consumption of 10W, so we can say Radeon Fury X is about 48 percent more efficient.
The second graphics Card in Fiji come with a GPU and memory HBM is the AMD Radeon Fury, brought to life by the GPU Fiji PRO with 3584 Stream Processors, 224 TMUs and 128 ROPs at the same frequency, the card will also feature the same amount of memory speed and bandwidth, although low performance floating point to the 7.2 TFLOPS as consumption, and 275W TDP almost consuming 15W less than the R9 290x (290W).
